Cenefits — community benefits, tracked and verified
Our platform helping public bodies in Scotland and Wales turn the community-benefit commitments in their contracts into tracked, evidenced, verified outcomes.
Context
When public bodies award contracts, suppliers commit to community benefits — apprenticeships, local jobs, community investment. Scotland’s community wealth building legislation and Wales’s socially responsible procurement rules make following through on those commitments a duty, not a nice-to-have. In most organisations, that tracking lives in spreadsheets and chased emails.
The challenge
A commitment made at contract award is easy to lose over the years that follow. The work is a long, human process — suppliers submitting evidence, officers checking it, statuses reported upward — across hundreds of contracts at once. It needs a service, not a spreadsheet.
What we built and run
Cenefits is a Teòmach product — we built it and we run it. Configurable benefit templates, automated reminders, evidence collection with quality-scoring and approval workflows, and live dashboards showing delivery status across every project. Buyers and suppliers work in the same system, so the evidence trail is complete from commitment to verified outcome.
Outcome
Cenefits is used across 1,600+ organisations, tracking 15,000+ benefits on 2,200+ projects, for Scottish public bodies including Glasgow City Council and Scottish Fire & Rescue. And because we run it as well as build it, it improves continuously — the same way we work on everything.
